Description
The QuickZyme Granzyme B Activity Assay Reagent Set (2 x 96 wells) enables quantitative measurement of active human granzyme B in biological samples (ex. conditioned cell culture media, cell extracts, body fluids, tissue extracts, and purified enzyme preparations). The assay also recognizes mouse granzyme B.
Researchers can now detect high and low ranges with a single, easy and sensitive assay, at a low cost per sample. Developed and manufactured in The Netherlands by QuickZyme Biosciences.

Summary
The GZMB gene encodes a member of the granzyme subfamily of proteins, part of the peptidase S1 family of serine proteases. The encoded preproprotein is secreted by natural killer (NK) cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and proteolytically processed to generate the active protease, which induces target cell apoptosis. This protein also processes cytokines and degrades extracellular matrix proteins, and these roles are implicated in chronic inflammation and wound healing. Expression of this gene may be elevated in human patients with cardiac fibrosis. (source).
