Description
Sodium Chloride Solution 0.9% for Cell Culture is sterile filtered through a 0.2 μm filter. Before final release, the reagent undergoes extensive quality tests (e.g. sterility, pH value, osmolality). Manufactured in Germany by PAN-Biotech.
Composition
9.0 g/L sodium chloride in cell culture grade water.
Application
Sodium chloride (NaCl) is a commonly used chemical found in nature and all body tissue and it is considered an essential nutrient. Sodium Chloride Solution 0.9% is used in a wide variety of biochemical applications including density gradients or as diluents to increase ionic strength in buffers or cell culture media. It is also important in media to maintain osmotic pressure and/or make it more selective. It can also be used as a washing solution for living cells, or as a carrier solution for various laboratory substances.
