NEW from Cellendes: ToLuminate Photogels (photo-inducible hydrogels based on thiol-ene chemistry)

NEW products from Cellendes GmbH!
Photo-inducible hydrogels: ToLuminate Hydrogel System
Photo-inducible hydrogels featuring all functionalities of the 3-D Life Hydrogel system are now available!
ToLuminate Hydrogels are based on the thiol-ene chemistry which has significant advantages over the methacrylate system:
- Less photoinitiator required
- Less irradiation required
- Improved cell viability due to highly reduced ROS generation
- Higher resolution in bioprinting due to a higher temporal control with no dark curing.
ToLuminate Technology
ToLuminate Photogels are photo-crosslinkable hydrogels (Photogels) that are free of any animal-derived materials. Kits for forming Photogels contain all necessary components, including norbornene-modified dextran that reacts with 3-D Life crosslinkers on the basis of a thiol-ene reaction. After mixing of the hydrogel components gelation is initiated at any time with light at wavelengths of 365-405 nm. The hydrogels can be adjusted to various cell culture conditions by attachment of cell adhesion peptides or inclusion of matrix metalloproteinase-cleavable motifs.
ToLuminate photogels crosslinked with PEG-Link or CD-Link can be dissolved by 3-D Life Dextranase for a protease-free cell recovery.
Cell adhesion peptides, Dextranase for gel dissolution and other gel modifying reagents are available as separate products (see products Adhesion Peptides and Accessories).
CD or PEG: Choose between a cell-degradable (CD) crosslinker and a non-degradable (PEG) crosslinker.
HA or CD-HA: Choose a hyaluronic acid-based crosslinker, either hyaluronic acid only (HA) or one with a matrix metalloproteinase-cleavable motif (CD-HA).
