Introduction
Medium 199, also known as M199, was originally developed to assay the nutrient demand of embryonic chicken fibroblasts. It also works very well with cells from many different animal species. Serum should be added for long term cultures.
A GMP Grade version is now available: PAN-Biotech Medium 199 (M199) w: EBSS, w: L-Glutamine, w: 2.2 g/L NaHCO3, GMP Grade.
