Urokinase Human Purified Protein is a two-chain glycoprotein containing 411 amino acids with 12 disulfide bonds. It has a molecular weight of 54,000 Dalton.
Urokinase, also known as urokinase-type plasminogen activator, is a serine protease that specifically cleaves the zymogen plasminogen to form the active enzyme plasmin. It is involved in numerous biological functions including fibrinolysis, embryogenesis, cell migration, tissue remodeling, ovulation, and wound healing.
EC:188.8.131.52, urokinase-type plasminogen activator, UK, U-plasminogen activator, uPA.
The enzyme is purified from human urine.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized urokinase in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Greater than 85.0%.
